YXXY was part of the first "Videoke"
experiment in Second Life, January 2010. A club owner from California offered a
"Videoke Bar". People could click on an video wall with internet
connection, choose from a lot of URLs with karaoke movies, or could give in a
Video Stream URL by themselves. So YXXY produced from December 2009 to April
2010 movies, that
intended to be pictural and instrumental backgrounds,
while the group was performing on the Videoke Bar stage, and one member of the
group sang live. But technical problems, missing visitors, and some abuse
of the system let this first Videoke Bar come to a silent end. YXXY uses these movies now in live situations: With complete sound, even vocals, in Second Life, and without any sound as visual backgrounds in Real Life events. Left side in the middle: This one song example „Stand by me" shows YXXY´s „state of the art in January 2010. Fare away from perfection, but close to YXXY´s emotion. You see the group dancing with fire wings, and then the drummer Hallo and his girl friend Clo escape into a planet world. |
In den oberen zwei Zeilen sind
zwei Filme, bei denen instrumental die Karaoke-Version unterlegt ist.
Bei dem rechten Film singen YXXY eine sehr eigene Version von "Hit
the road, Jack". Es geht da um "Jack the Ripper", den die
"Addams Family" verfolgt. Entsprechend dämonisch kommen die
Bilder daher.
Links Mitte steht der allererste Karaoke-Film von YXXY überhaupt, aus der Nostalgic Night. Es gab da noch Probleme mit der Farbwiedergabe. Und - sozusagen als Beispiel, wie es klingen kann - da singt YXXY´s DJ Tanz schon die vocals. Rechts Mitte ist der Sound die Ausnahme: "Happy Together" wird hier als Karaoke-Titel von einer echten Band gespielt und ist nicht, wie sonst bei YXXY, eine Midi-Datei. In der untersten Reihe sind zwei Zeilen dem Copyright-Problem gewidmet. Von beiden Liedern hat YXXY Karaoke-Backgrounds gedreht, aber die Urheberrechtsverwalter machen Stress. |
